all the little things

其實一直以來我對詩算是小有喜愛,雖然不至於整天吟詩作對的扮風雅
但是看到好詩時也會忍不住想收藏起來
最近讀完蘇格蘭詩人Robert Burns 的一首詩後忍不住笑了
好熱情直白的一首詩啊!雖然有點...ㄜ...粗俗或色情吧?
但是非常生動且具有表現力,再看了Robert Burns 的其他作品, 發現他的詩大多就是非常生動有畫面的
所以想跟大家分享一下:
Who Is That At My Bower Door

' Who is that at my bower door?'
' O, who is it but Findlay!'
' Then go your way, you should not be here.'
' Indeed must I!' said Findlay.
' What makes you , so like a thief?'
' O, come and see!' said Findlay.
' Before the morning you will work mischief?'
' Indeed will I!' said Findlay.

' If I rise and let you in '
' Let me in!' said Findlay
' You will keep me awake with your din?'
' Indeed will I!' said Findlay.
' In my bower if you should stay '
' Let me stay!' said Findlay .
' I am afraid you will stay till the break of day?'
' Indeed will I!' said Findlay.

' Here this night if you remain '
' I'll remain!' said Findlay .
' I dread you will learn the way again?'
' Indeed will I!' said Findlay.
' What may pass within this bower '
' Let it pass!' said Findlay!
' You must conceal till your last hour '
' Indeed will I!' said Findlay.

中文翻譯也非常有意思:

“誰在我的房門外呀？”
“除了芬德雷，還會有誰？”
“趕快走開吧，你不要在此！”
“當真要我走？”芬德雷說。
“你為何如此偷偷摸摸？”
“喔，出來見個面吧。”芬德雷說。
“天亮之前你會鬧事的。”
“我真會鬧事的！”芬德雷說。

“要是我開門讓你進來，”
“讓我進去！”芬德雷說。
“你會吵得我無法成眠；”
“那是當然的！”芬德雷說。
“倘若讓你待在我房裡，”
“讓我待著吧！”芬德雷說。
“我恐怕你會一待到天明；”
“那是一定的！”芬德雷說。

“要是今晚讓你留下，”
“我要留在這裡！”芬德雷說。
“我怕你會再度前來；”
“我一定會的！”芬德雷說。
“這屋裡可能發生的事，”
“讓它發生吧！”芬德雷說。
“你到死都不能說出去。”
“我一定會的！”芬德雷說。

英文版的呢!較有隱喻姓與雙關意,看完後會發出會心一笑
但看完中文版的翻譯後我則忍不住哈哈大笑
呵呵~這就是所謂的意譯吧?
把詩人在字裡行間的意思用另一種語言表達出來
真是個盡責的翻譯啊!


唉呀!其實我不是什麼文學評論家,不過 Robert Burns 詩裡的那種勃勃生氣,直覺讓我聯想到詩經中的"國風"篇呢!
大概是因為都非常直率坦承的關係吧?
